Minihyd pumps are compact in size and work on the principle of positive displacement of the fluid with each rotation of shaft. Because of variable discharge and small compact size, these pumps have wide application in lubrication of machine tools, press tools, and in chemical, pharmaceutical, textiles, printing, canning and bottling, plastic processing, moulding machines and other industries. Other uses relate to transfer of fluid, burning oil, hydraulic power packs, rotary filters as well as vehicle engine lubrication. In short, can be used anywhere, where requirement of flow of liquid as well as pressure is low. The design is based on internal gearing, which is of gyrator type. The perfect matching of inner and outer gyrator elements during rotation creates vacuum that is utilized to suck fluid from inlet port of the pump. The sucked liquid is squeezed between rotating elements and is forcibly discharged from outlet port of the pump. In-line matching of elements makes the whole pump assembly noiseless and compact. The pumps are available in two types of mounting, flange type and insert type. They are available in different standard sizes, depending upon the discharge value in lpm, at shaft rpm ranging between 100-2000 rpm.
